It is interesting to get the European news channels, more of the global news and then see how strikingly different it has become from the USA news media.   Stories that run in Europe are barely mentioned inside the USA firewalls.

The world isn’t in too great of a space right now.  I think the scariest part is the breakout of Ebola in West Africa.  I actually only know one person that has survived Ebola.    She was a pastor and was off helping raise kids and a village.   She feels fortunate to be alive, but doesn’t wish the disease on anyone.

In the east, you have the showdown of Ukraine, the Malaysian plane disaster, and Russia.  in the west a lot of talking heads, who probably simply don’t want to admit they are not in the catbirds seat to demand much of anything.  So they talk.

I am not sure which is worse for the fate of the people on that commercial aircraft.   To hear loud voices with no power discussing how wrong it was, or would they prefer someone digging in and taking a stand?

The middle east, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Gaza, Syria and Israel appears to pretty much be one step away from fubar.    I had to turn off the American news reporting.   There is lots of blame going around and no one taking any accountability for anything.  Seems like American news is simply a screaming match and the one that yells louder, wins.   i just haven't figure out what they won?

I guess this is what mystifies me about war.  Do people think it really is some honorable, gallant, noble quest?  Or do they stop and say, “Damn, this is insane.  Look at how man is treating his fellow man?”

The rockets and shells will keep flying.   Syria now resembles Stalingrad in ww2, the religious groups are kicking each other out, tombs of prophets are blown to bits and life goes on.  Each side thinking what they are doing is right and just, neither side backing down to take a moment to realize what they are fighting is simply another human being.

The news scurries around to report, secretly hope to win a Pulitzer…there is no shortage of places to go for active stories on the planet today.    I was watching one reporter bashing Israel, “they are killing children”

What can I say; I just shook my head and thought, “it is a war zone.   There is no logic inside the space where people are trying to annihilate each other.”

No matter how humane or careful professional warfare is…. it usually is the innocent that will suffer the most.  Why does this surprise anyone in the news?”

What seems to be short is the ability to report a story in an unbiased way, with access to the full story.

It is a problem of modern times and technology.  You almost can’t take the time to report something deeply.   The news feeds are simply in a hurry to broadcast the latest, newest, greatest story to feed the machine that used to actually be a drain on profitability for media companies.  (Yes, the news)

Today, it is one of the most profitable and will probably continue to be.  After all, the lunacy of mankind is getting to appear normal the more we see it.   Sad, yet, true.

This is the place i can come dump thoughts and ideas out into the internet and see if anyone can find them.

There are no tags or fancy menus.  What you get here is an unedited first draft of something - typo's and grammar included free of charge, ideally written in under 10 minutes and uploaded.  It makes criticism easier for the reader.

Each post has a paragraph under the photo you can read to see if you have interest, then click on the "read more" if you wish.   If you want either a treasure hunt, or are looking for something specific,  type in the search box below.
